Miguel Tejada found himself in a pennant race and back at shortstop when he reported to the NL West-leading San Diego Padres on Friday. Manager Bud Black wasted no time in plugging Tejada into a key spot in the lineup for the first-place Padres against the Florida Marlins on Friday night, batting him fourth behind All-Star slugger Adrian Gonzalez.
