After a long day off, The San Diego Padres return to their losing ways of 08′, being out slugged by the Brewers; usually you hear something like “the pads out slugged by brewers” not surprised but when it is 5-2 you think whats wrong with the Brew Crew.

Cha Seung Beak went 6 innings 7 hits 5 runs all earned 4 BB 3 strikeouts and 2 HR given up. Cla Meredith, Wilfredo Ledezma and Clay Hensley combined to throw up 3 shutout innings with two of them coming from Hensley, only giving up one hit one BB and 2 strikeouts.

Batting was not good at all, Kevin Kouzmanoff got is 18th homer run of the year second in as many games, that was is only hit. Jody Gerut hit is 12th of the year and it was his second homer also well in as many games. Other notes: Nick Hundley and Chase Headley both had a hit a piece.

Tomorrow’s game will highlight Josh Banks(3-4) vs. C.C Sabathia(12-8) game starts at 7:05pm pt/10:05pm et

On the good hot day in St.Louis,The San Diego Padres lose their fourth straight coming off the break. As the same story goes the padres started out strong but it wouldn’t hold up as, in the first inning Scott Hairston hit a single homerun to start the game. The Cardinals answer back the next inning. In the fifth the padres scored two with the Cha Seung Beak two run shot, making it 3-1. But it wouldn’t hold up as 0ne in the 7th and 3 in the 8th inning making it 5-3 Cards’.
In the ninth the Padres battled back to tie it up with singles by S.Hairston,Brian Giles and a double by Edger Gonzales loaded the bases then a one out double by Kevin Kouzmanoff scoring two, tied it up. Then in the bottom of the ninth with the bases loaded A.Miles he hit the ball so hard and fast he just kept walking off with the win on his shoulders, winning 9-5.
The San Diego Padres move on down the road to open a series with the Reds as the padres throw up Josh Banks vs. H.Bailey at 4:10pt.

At this point in time if The San Diego Padres become sellers here are a few key suggestions for good trades too upgrade the team for 09′ and the years to come!
Take the 08′ season to be over as of right now this is what I would do, Trade:
Brian Giles-RF, RHP-Justin Germano and Randy Wolf-LHP trade them to St.Louis for Colby Rasums-CF, Micthell Boggs-RHP AND (AA) C-Matt Pangnozzi.
Greg Maddux, Cla Meredith and Sean Henn LHP (AAA) to the Phillies for Kris Benson and T.J Bohn OF (AAA).
Scott Hairston and Edwin Moreno CL (AAA) to the Dodgers for SS-Parker Dalton and RHP-Robert Blevins (both A).
Then trade Josh Bard, Shawn Estes, Clay Hensley and Cha Seung Beak to Boston for SS-Iggy Suarez (AA) and RHP Kyle Weiland (A).
Trade Tampa Bay RF-Erik Hinske, Jeff Niemann RHP(AAA) and Reid Fronk LF(A) for Jody Gerut and Trevor Hoffman.
The big one being Kevin Kouzmanoff ,Tadahito Iguchi ,Joe Thatcher ,Michael Barrett, Paul McAnulty , Justin Huber ,CL(AA)Greg Burke ,RHP(AA)Gabriel DeHoyos and Jon Schemmel 2B(AA) for Brian Fuentes and Garrett Atkins.
