The San Diego Padres only gave up two hits the entire night to the Colorado Rockies as they defeated the Rockies 6-0. Randy Wolf flirted with a no-hitter but eventually eventually gave up a hit after 6.2 innings. Kevin Cameron gave up one more hit in the final two innings, but by then the Rockies had already more less given up.
Wolf pitched seven innings to pick up his first win of the season. Wolf did walk four batters but also struckout nine batters while only allowing the one hit. Cameron did a good deal coming in and pitching the last two inning and only allowing one hit as well.
Brian Giles, Kevin Kouzmanoff, and Jim Edmonds all had two RBI each for the Padres. All the Padres scoring came in the 5th inning.
