As the 2011 baseball season draws closer, most of the padre fans have
forgotten about even having a team. Most say that the team’s chance ended this season before it evening started, when the hometown hero Adrian Gonzalez was shipped off to Boston for a hand full of prospects. But we have to give credit where credit is do, the first baseman stated it would cost a lot to keep him in San Diego after the 2011 season. So the very smart and eager to win GM Jed Hoyer pulled the trigger for the future of the franchise and also pulling many triggers for the 2011 season, So lets take a look. This is only a post spring training lineup prediction.
1st-Brad Hawpe, 2nd-Orlando Hundson, 3rd-Chase Headley(if chase is sent to AAA to work on his swing you might see Jorge’ Cantu here)
ss-Jason Bartlett , c-Nick Hundley (as with him as with chase, you might see a mix of Rob Johnson/Greg Zaun. LF-Ryan Ludwick,
CF-Cameron Maybin, RF-Will Venable and if he doesn’t stay Constance you also might see J.Cantu there as well.
Bench wise look like this:Oscar Salazar,Aaron Cunningham,Chris Denorfia,Eric Patterson,Everth Cabrera, And new comer from AAA Mike Baxter.
possibly the starting lineup:
1.Maybin 2.Hudson 3.Bartlett 4.Ludwick 5.Hawpe 6.Headley 7.Venable/or Cantu. 8.Hundley/Zaun/Johnson 9.Pichter
keep and mind this team age avg-28 and the all been told their careers are coming to the down side so they a have a chip on the shoulder, which I think might just motivate in a WS ring!
