On the final home Sunday game of the first half going into the All-Star Game, The San Diego Padres got whooped like a child trying too seal a cookie for they Grandma! The Padres lost to The Braves 12-3. The only highlights for The Padres offensively were Kevin Kouzmanoff with a 2 run homer in the in the bottom of the sixth off of Jorge Campillo, then Chase Headley hit his sixth homer of the year off of Mike Gonzalez in the bottom of the ninth with no outs. The Braves on the other hand had too much offence to even talk about.

Randy Wolf pitching was not so hot giving up 6 ER on 6 hits walked 3 strokeout one, hit two by pitch in five innings of work, moving to 6-9 on the year. Beak/Banks/Corey/Meredith combined to throw up six more runs in 4 innings.

Just ones personal opinion we should start thinking of is a fire sale. The team has lost its active youth sprit that they work so hard the last few years get. It’s time to trade the old players that we have been waiting for them to come back around with thier numbers and stats. Get some prospects for them, then bring up the kids from our Farm Team and let them play.
